ISHWAR Institute of Prosthetics and Orthotics (IIPO) was established in the year 2012 under the Aegis of International Society for Human Welfare and Rehabilitation (ISHWAR) with an objective of making Quality education available at reasonable cost. The objective of the college is to teach students in the Prosthetics & Orthotics Sciencedealing with Physical rehabilitation/ assistive aids and appliances of persons with locomotor disabilities

              It is imperative to state that there is a large gap between requirement and availability of Prosthetic & Orthotic Professionals in the Country, especially in southern region.

              It is also important to highlight that this is the only college in Chennai to offer Bachelors Degree Program under TN Dr. MGR Medical University and is duly approved by Rehabilitation Council of India. The college doesnot get any grant-in-aid from the Govt. of India

              Our Mission is to provide high quality clinical and technical education in Prosthetics, Orthotics Rehabilitation as well as train to follow the best clinical practices by substantiating field based research & development of Human Resources.

              Currently, the college is in 7th Year with total of 40 Students in various batches. While, ISHWAR in its own capacity or through parent body have continued its support since inception in term of providing sponsorships to students to basic infrastructural needs of the college, it is not adequate for maintaining the quality & standards of education & training facilities to the students. While the college's basic quality standards are never compromised by constant support & financial assistance from ISHWAR Society, there is a requirement to raise the standards and value additions by generating fund through donations.

              In light of the foregoing, the College is seeking your support with an endeavour of promoting & encouraging the education & training of human resources.Your funding will help us to provide high quality education to the students so that they become better P&O Professionals and provide best rehabilitation facilities for differently-abled individuals.( DIVYANGJAN)
